According to Louisville Metro Police, officers responded around 4:26 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 4400 block of West Broadway, near South 44th Street, between the Chickasaw and Shawnee neighborhoods. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency responders provided immediate medical assistance at the scene before transporting the victim to UofL Hospital in critical condition. Despite efforts by medical staff to save his life, he was later pronounced dead.
